How the Bioreactor works in Graveyard Keeper 2
The Bioreactor is a crafting station, not a factory generator. Multiple player answers say it processes wheat into the item called Zombie Power rather than supplying factory electricity. One September 29 reply reports five wheat per output; a September 30 answer describes an input chest → belt → Bioreactor → belt → output chest setup.
Reported wheat-to-Zombie-Power setup
The following is a specific player's text description, not a measured blueprint or tested optimal layout. Confirm the displayed input and output direction in your own build before placing belts.
- Place the Bioreactor. The cited answer suggests placing it before the chests and conveyors.
- Put a Conveyor Chest at the input and another at the output. That player's arrangement has the input chest on the left and the output chest on the right of the Bioreactor's vents.
- Connect the input chest to the Bioreactor and then to the output chest with right-moving belts. This describes that reported orientation only, not a claim about every rotation or port.
- Add wheat to the input chest and inspect the output chest. The five-wheat answer and the setup reply both describe wheat becoming a Zombie Power item. Verify the recipe shown in your build; there is no independently measured throughput or crafting time here.
Do you feed zombies into it or assign a worker?
The cited answers describe wheat input, not consuming a zombie. The September 30 setup author also says their Bioreactor does not need a zombie operator. That worker-free observation comes from one player, so check the station UI if your version behaves differently. A separate September 26 answer independently describes it as a station that produces resources from wheat rather than energy.
Why does factory power not increase?
Zombie Power is the output item's name, not proof of electrical generation. Both the September 26 answer and a September 29 reply distinguish the crafted resource from factory power. Do not build more Bioreactors expecting the electricity meter to rise based on its name.
If it is not processing, first check that wheat is in the input chest, the belts point toward the appropriate ports, and the output path can receive an item. The cited text does not provide a verified electrical budget, port diagram, belt speed, or guaranteed repair for a broken save.
What are Zombie Power items used for?
The September 29 reply reports a quest asking for three items. Other players describe crafting or supply uses, while one says there were no other uses at that point. We therefore do not present a complete current-build recipe list. Check your actual quest objective and recipes rather than assuming the station powers the factory.
Does delivering three unlock Steel?
The same setup thread contains a correction: a separate quest was being confused with Steel access. kornflakes89 identifies the delivery as separate, and the original poster confirms that correction. Follow the Steel and Royal Foundry access guide instead of treating three Zombie Power items as a guaranteed purchase unlock.
What to check in your game
This page answers the narrow input/output question using dated original Steam replies. It is not an official recipe database, an independently tested factory layout, or a complete list of item uses. Exact build costs, rates, port rotations, electricity requirements, and console behavior remain unverified.
For delivery tasks, see orders and warehouse supplies. For gathering ingredients, see Night Flower and Firefly.
