Where to Find Iron in Graveyard Keeper 2

For surface iron, check the reported deposit near the pond southeast of the church. If you can see it but cannot mine it, check the potter's quest progression north of the inn. This is a community route, not an official iron-source map; iron ore, mine access, and the crafted Supply: Iron crate are separate questions.

Iron route

Use the church as your landmark.
Travel southeast toward the pond. Search the ground around that area for the reported iron deposit.
If mining is unavailable, visit the potter north of the inn. Players connect the mining access to the potter's quest progression.
Finish the relevant quest step, then return to the pond.

Why the quarry can waste your time

Players searching by habit may head to the quarry first. The surface-iron reports point to the pond rather than the quarry for this step; they do not prove there is no iron anywhere else in the game. A separate player discussion about delivering Jack an iron crate also asks where to find iron after opening the mine. Opening the mine alone therefore does not tell that player where to extract it; the question is not proof of an unlimited source.

Shortest troubleshooting rule: location found but no mining action usually means “check quest progression,” not “keep searching the quarry.”
