Graveyard Keeper 2 Beehive Guide

Go west from the keeper's house, cross the broken bridge, and check the vineyard section — launch-week player reports place the beehives there, not in a free-build construction menu. The hives are found at a fixed spot after the unlock; if nothing interacts when you arrive, work through the quest, readiness, and inventory checks below.

GUIDE REVIEWED: SEPTEMBER 26, 2026EVIDENCE: CURRENT PLAYER REPORTSSTATUS: LOCATION REPORTED — VERIFY IN YOUR BUILD

Where the beehives are

  1. Cross the broken bridge west of the keeper's house. Two separate replies in one launch-week thread point to the same area: “west of the house, over the broken bridge” and “the vineyard section across the bridge from the keeper house.”
  2. Look for hives already placed in the vineyard. The reports describe finding the hives there after unlocking — not constructing them from the outdoor build menu. Searching construction zones first is the reported dead end.
  3. Tree saplings come from the merchant. One reply in the same thread reports that the merchant sells saplings only after you finish several of his quests.
  4. Verify in your own build. These are release-build player reports, not official documentation. The exact hive count, interactions, and outputs can change with patches, so treat what your UI shows at the vineyard as the source of truth.

Beehive route checklist

  1. Confirm the unlock and active objectives. The technology tree and quest log tell you whether beekeeping is available in your progression; do not rely on the first game’s unlock order.
  2. Travel to the vineyard across the broken bridge. The hives are reported at a fixed location, so finding them is a travel step before it is a construction step.
  3. Read the displayed requirements before gathering materials. Patches and progression can make copied lists unreliable; the live panel is the source of truth.
  4. Allow a production interval and return. A newly available hive may not have an immediate harvest. Observe the prompt or visual state rather than assuming a fixed number of days.
  5. Make inventory room. If the interaction is available but no item appears, clear ordinary inventory and any relevant bag, then test once more.

What you can observe directly

Unlock state

The technology tree either exposes the relevant node or it does not. If it is hidden, progress the connected branch or quest.

Location state

The reported vineyard site either shows hive objects and an interaction or it does not. That direct observation settles most “where do I build it” confusion.

Ready state

A harvest prompt or changed hive state is stronger evidence than a timer copied from another save.

Output state

Check inventory immediately before and after interacting to identify what the current build actually awards.

Beehive not working

  • No hive where you expected one: cross the broken bridge west of the keeper’s house into the vineyard section — reports place the hives there rather than in the outdoor build menu.
  • No technology: review prerequisite nodes and active NPC objectives.
  • Cannot complete construction: compare every displayed material and quantity; similar-looking parts may not be interchangeable.
  • No harvest prompt: leave the area, advance normal play, and recheck the hive’s visible state without assuming an exact timer.
  • Prompt works but no output is visible: clear inventory, note the before/after counts, and check whether the item entered a specialized container.

Do not import old-game assumptions

Graveyard Keeper 2 can reuse familiar names while changing technology trees, locations, recipes, or outputs. A method from the first game is useful only as a search clue. It is not confirmation of the sequel’s materials, number of hives, honey rate, wax rate, or automation support.

Evidence boundary: The vineyard location across the broken bridge is a player-reported answer cited below, not official documentation. This page does not claim a fixed beehive recipe, production timer, honey or wax quantity, required NPC, zombie assignment, or maximum hive count. Those facts were not established by an official current-build source in the reviewed evidence.

Useful next checks
