Printed Poetry: getting past the Gold Story requirement
If Printed Poetry is blocked by a Gold Star Story, work on writing mastery rather than waiting for a gold trinket. Players recommend the Dictionary, Silver Talisman and Sauerkraut. A separate Astrologer follow-up connects the Printed Poetry hand-in to the Necronomicon. This guide covers that bottleneck; it does not claim a complete, verified poetry recipe.
What to do when the poem needs a Gold Star Story
- Inspect your active recipe and quest text. A poetry-thread player reports needing a Gold Story while their mastery seemed tied to late-game gold jewelry. Check whether that is the actual blocker shown in your save.
- Improve your writing tools before chasing gold equipment. Player answers place the Dictionary at the Writing Desk and the Silver Talisman at the Jewelry Table.
- Check a Sauerkraut buff and the resulting quality chance. A mastery-thread follow-up identifies the food as the missing boost. The Gold Story guide explains why player-reported totals are not a guaranteed formula.
- Craft according to the requirements shown in your own recipe panel. Once the Gold Story blocker is resolved, use that panel for the rest of Printed Poetry's inputs. The sources checked here do not establish every ingredient or an exact station sequence.
- If your active objective is the Astrologer request, hand in Printed Poetry and continue his dialogue. Kaspar H. and JVC connect that hand-in to the Astrologer remembering the Necronomicon. This is a player-reported progression route, not a guarantee for every save.
Can bronze quality bypass the request?
See JVC's second-hand bronze claim and Paragon's failed-attempt report. This is not a full recipe: the actionable scope is the gold-star Story blocker and the reported Astrologer hand-in.
Why Printed Poetry can matter for the Necronomicon
Kaspar H. initially could not open the T2 Collier technology even after completing Albert's eight-red-skull zombie task. In a September 27, 2026 follow-up, the same player reports it was gated behind the Necronomicon and that the Astrologer's Printed Poetry request required a Gold Star Story. JVC separately says the Astrologer remembers the Necronomicon after receiving the printed poetry.
If you have that same blocked technology and an unfinished Astrologer poetry request, the actionable lead is to resolve the writing blocker and complete the request. These reports do not establish every step of the Collier technology tree, and they do not promise that this hand-in alone fixes unrelated missing prerequisites.
Scope and verification
The source discussion was checked on October 2, 2026. The site has not independently gameplay-tested this sequence and has no verified recipe screenshot to publish. Follow your current recipe panel for quantities, item quality and station requirements; do not substitute a different poem or sermon based only on a forum reply.
