New Steam PC bug reporter
The patch adds in-game bug report functionality for the Steam PC build. The official wording does not say that this feature is available on other PC stores or consoles.

Update 1.006 is live
The official Changelog — 1.006 was published on (September 26, 2026 at 01:16 Beijing time). It adds an in-game bug reporter to the Steam PC build and fixes zombie rewards and work, cooking, collisions, inventory and trading, visuals, audio, achievements, crashes, and crop beds.
Scope: This is a multi-fix patch announced through Steam. The announcement does not publish a formal known-issues list, does not publish a roadmap, and does not state platform-wide rollout timing. The bug-report feature is explicitly limited to the Steam PC build, and the announcement does not establish that Update 1.006 shipped on other platforms.
Zombie, station, and cooking fixes
- Zombies should now earn red tech-points in fights.
- Zombie work sounds now start correctly when work begins while the player is off-scene.
- Zombie placement at the cooking oven no longer blocks the millstone.
- Kitchen zombies no longer consume or burn ingredients without producing the dish.
- The player should no longer become stuck by the kitchen chest and firewood, or be wedged between workstations, chests, and extensions after a zombie push.
Inventory, trading, and presentation
- Extra bag slots now accept pickups and vendor purchases when the backpack is full.
- Static-price trade goods no longer double in price on the first purchase.
- Changing resolution no longer breaks grass sway or deformation.
- Missing cinematic VFX—smoke and fog effects—have been restored in shipping builds.
- Flagpole plant and removal sounds no longer play incorrectly when fights start or end.
Progression and achievements
- Demo-save milestones unlock Steam achievements retroactively in the full game.
- Players can no longer destroy Defender’s Emblems and soft-lock zombie squad unlocks.
The notes specifically name Steam achievements. They do not make a cross-platform achievement-transfer claim.
Crashes and crop beds
- Fixed intermittent crashes on ultrawide and other non-standard resolutions.
- Fixed crop beds becoming permanently stuck immediately before harvest, where they could not be inspected, harvested, or removed.
Narrow fix boundary: This note addresses one crop-bed stuck state immediately before harvest. It is not a general farming, Green Thumb, or zombie-farming fix, and it does not verify any unrelated crop behavior.
