The official Changelog — 1.005 was published on September 24, 2026 at 12:59:48 UTC. It fixes blocked research, crematorium and resurrection problems, several zombie issues, UI and movement bugs, and launch-build stability problems. It also changes two balance values and improves alchemy-tower performance.
Scope: This is a multi-fix patch, not the September 22 single-fix preorder-content hotfix. The announcement does not publish a formal known-issues list, does not publish a roadmap, and does not state platform-wide rollout timing.
Stations and morgue
Fixed the Study Table locking after an item was inserted for Science, preventing research from starting.
Fixed the Crematorium becoming unusable when a corpse was stuck on its table.
Fixed the prepared-body or strap state on the Resurrection Table resetting after leaving and re-entering the morgue.
Fixed resurrected zombies showing their pre-resurrection animation after re-entering the morgue.
Fixed cases where zombies could not be resurrected even when quest and item requirements were met.
Added the missing zombie-limit hint at the Resurrection Table on PlayStation.
Building, UI, and movement
Buildings can again be demolished in the resurrection zone.
Quest navigation hints now hide during sleep or blackout.
Fixed the alchemy recipe-book selection highlight overlapping a separator.
Fixed Inquisition Base UI flicker during repeated interaction with locked objects.
Fixed the player floating over stairs during combat.
Balance and performance
Increased tree-log yield when sawing, producing more chunks per log.
Rebalanced Kiln and Furnace craft and fuel costs.
Improved performance at the top of the alchemy tower, where heavy FPS drops occurred.
Cleared a group of errors that appeared before the first sleep or save.
Audio and visuals
Fixed the Keeper's house oven playing its completion sound on every entry while idle.
Fixed incorrect wheat-bending animation on Switch.
Zombie crafts
Pending zombie crafts now remain visible when skill level is too low, and craft-lock and wait-delivery icons behave correctly.
What the notes do not establish
The announcement does not identify unresolved known issues, promise a later patch, publish a roadmap, or give platform-by-platform deployment times. The PlayStation zombie-limit hint and Switch wheat-animation fix are explicitly platform-specific; the rest should not be converted into an unsupported universal rollout claim.
