How to Get Town Gratitude in Graveyard Keeper 2
Earn Town Gratitude through qualifying town activity, including completed warehouse orders, eligible trades, quests, and applicable Gratitude items. Sermons spend the accumulated amount, so it must be rebuilt afterward. To raise the maximum rather than refill the current total, repair houses and bring more residents into town.
Ways players report earning Town Gratitude
- Complete warehouse supply orders and claim the result from the board on its collection day. The Supply: Iron walkthrough covers one full order cycle.
- Sell qualifying items when the shop interface shows the thumbs-up reward. A merchant may have a weekly Gratitude allowance, so repeated sales can stop awarding it.
- Finish town quests whose reward panel includes Gratitude.
- Use a Gratitude-restoring item when the description explicitly identifies that effect.

Current total
The spendable amount available for a sermon. It can be refilled through eligible town actions and rewards.
Maximum cap
The upper limit. Release-build players report that it follows town population, so repairing homes and welcoming residents raises it.
Why a sermon resets the amount
Community reports describe Town Gratitude as part of the sermon resource loop: build it through town activity, use it at the church, then earn it again. A low number immediately after a sermon is therefore not automatically a bug.
Why a sale stopped giving Gratitude
Check the reward icon and the shop's remaining allowance. Reports point to merchant-specific weekly limits, which means an otherwise eligible item may stop producing Gratitude until the relevant cycle resets. Burial-certificate behavior has also varied in community reports, so do not assume every certificate always produces one point.
